Threshold Acoustics LLC provides room acoustics and audio/video design consulting services for performance and education facilities, worship spaces, cultural buildings, and other places of public assembly. Threshold’s approach to acoustics consulting emphasizes reinforcing the visual realm with the subtlety, variety, and even surprise that an awareness of the aural realm can bring to the built environment.
Conducted a study of acoustical phenomena present in historic Liverpool Philharmonic Hall following renovations to the stage and choral risers. Created audio-visual models of the current and former stage designs using Rhino3D, Grasshopper, and Odeon acoustical modeling software, using resulting SPL mappings to suggest appropriate acoustical modifications within the hall
